Catering is one service where you are likely to prefer a local supplier. Very few persons would want to bring a caterer from some other country and risk a party disaster. Corporate parties might go for specialized and reputed catering organizations headquartered elsewhere. Even they might often find it necessary to go for local caterers when time is short.

Catering directories generally focus on the final consumers, listing vendors by food categories such as beverages, chocolate fountain, fruit, juice, etc; and by supplier categories like food vendors, caterers, mobile vendors, party organizers, restaurants, party shops, etc. There might also be sections on Health & Safety and Catering Tips.

Another catering directory might arrange vendors by such categories as caterers, event venues, entertainment, photography, transportation, wedding, event planners, florists, etc.

All are likely to provide the option to narrow down the lists to locations you select, such as a city or area.

Some might collect information such as number of guests, event type, services required (such as food, servers, liquor, chocolate fountain, decorations, tables/chairs, tents, etc), date and time, location and so on, and give you a quote based on your requirements.

Caterers might even help you select a menu depending on your budget per person or an event venue or other related matters. Services offered could include sit-in, food station and buffet type serving options, and also clean-ups, drop offs, beverages only service, etc.

Air motors are engines which convert the energy of compressed air into mechanical work. They use the power of air (thus are also known as air powered motors or air driven motors) in order to generate the necessary torque to
produce rotational motion. Air driven motors and their concept to use air as an energy carrier is not a new idea. Historically, it has been applied since the 19th century to power mine locomotives. The most recent development uses pressurized air as fuel in an engine. The advantage of air motors lies in the fact that they are easy to use, maintain and handle. They are available in different types of designs and are used for many purposes in different applications.

    Advantages of air powered motors

Air motors offer many advantages in comparison to electric motors. Some of the advantages of air motors are:

    • Because air powered motors do not need any electric power to run, they can be safely used in volatile atmospheres.
    • Power density of air driven motors is higher. Therefore an air driven motor of the same size as that of an electric motor offers more power.
    • Overloads cause no harm to air powered motors. On the other hand, electric motors can easily trip the circuits which have to be restored.

Have you ever had sales people who just never seem to make it no matter how hard they try? These sales people are one of the main factors for decline in business. Your sales people are the heart of your company and without good ones you will find it difficult to succeed in selling your products. To train good sales people you sometimes need to take a different approach.

Here are 10 tips that will save you from becoming the worst sales person in the company:

    1. Not being punctual: being on time is very important to a customer. Take into consideration that many of your seasonal Christmas customers will be new. Your sales people will represent the first contact these customers have with your company. First impressions are lasting ones and your sales person need to make a good impression. Being on time will give a good impression to the client and increase their confidence in your company.

    2. Poor presentation: some sales people just do not have all their ducks in a row and simply do not present the product well. A presentation is the first thing a customer will know about your product. If your product is not shown correctly to the customer he is very unlikely to buy.

    3. Bad attitude: rudeness and unprofessional behavior is not acceptable under any circumstances. It is quite surprising that you will meet some sales people who are just plain rude and short with you the consumer. This gives the potential buyer the wrong impression about your company. They do not get a proper picture of the product, as they will probably not even wait for the presentation to end. You will lose many sales like this.

When a client is thinking about hiring you, two major questions in their mind are: ‘Can this person deliver what they say they can deliver?’ and ‘Will their approach work in our particular business?’ The trouble is no client can really answer these questions until after they have hired you. And that’s the catch 22. This is a major stumbling block which can delay if not totally grind the sales process to a halt.

You can probably think of situations with your own prospects where this is the case. It’s a frustrating stalemate.

Yet for professional service providers, there is a way out of this frustrating conundrum. Promoting your own training courses or seminars can help you avoid this stumbling block because it gives your prospective clients a chance to sample you at low cost and risk for both parties.

Here’s how it works. Think about the REAL reasons why people hire you. For example, if you are a marketing consultant, people aren’t hiring you because they want a consultant: they want a marketing system that gets results! If you are a sales trainer, they aren’t hiring you just for training, they want to increase sales. If you are an accountant, chances are they want to lower their tax bill.

If you can identify the core ‘reason why’, you could then offer a seminar built around that topic eg ‘How to Use Low Cost Marketing Techniques to Attract an Avalanche of New Clients’ or ‘How to Double Sales Within the Next 90 Days’ of ‘How to Reduce Your Next Tax Bill: Secrets That The Government Doesn’t Want You to Know’.
